US Open 2012

With the end of Olympics 2012, now its the turn of US Open to grab our attentions. This summer has been jam-packed with the insertion of the Olympics into the short space between Wimbledon and the U.S. Open

US Open 2012
This could have a major impact on player’s preparation for US open. Also another impact factor why i did feel the preparation as an important factor is that the Olympic tournament and Wimbledon’s grass courts, and adapting to the some different environment in US open will be a tough job for players.Concerning to the tournament preparation Djokovic, the defending men’s champion and seeded No. 2 this year, flew straight from London to Toronto after losing the bronze-medal match at the Olympics.

This year, the US open will be expected to provide the same excitement as previous years though players like Rafael Nadal, the 2010 Open winner and owner of 11 major titles, is out of this Open because of the same knee injury that caused him to skip the Olympics after his second-round loss at Wimbledon.

Although some of the important players are out of the tournament, there is no lack in entertainment as The top-seeded man, Federer, begins his quest for his sixth Open title and first since 2008. He will play American Donald Young in a night match, just after three-time champion Kim Clijsters, who is retiring after this season, plays American Victoria Duval.

You can check out the schedule and all latest information about US Open 2012 here – http://www.usopen.org

Australia whitewashes team India 4-0

Yet an another whitewash to team India, this time around from the hands of Australia. It was a very ordinary performance by team India in both batting and bowling. Many senior players have started feeling the heat already with still T20’s and ODI’s to come.

Australia whitewashes team India 4-0

On the other hand, Australian are much happy to see all their senior players performing well especially Ricky Ponting. They were at their best and never let their opposition take control over them at any point in the test series. It was all one team show.

With two T20’s and Tri series awaiting, team India would be hoping to put in better performance. Both team are geared up for the first T20 starting on Feb 1st followed by second on Feb 3rd. Both team’s have announced their squad for T20’s and with Sri Lankan’s joining them for Tri-series it would be a cracker of series. No doubt the Lankan’s would want to regain some form after they being thrashed in South Africa.
